Hi I am Nicole (Davids Mommy). I am a busy mommy to David who is a very rambunctious 2 year old! And wife to David’s Daddy (Kevin) Monday through Friday, come the weekend I am a Nursing Assistant at a local Physical Rehab Hospital.
Kevin and I met in 2005, we married August 7th, 2010 and found out that we were expecting David shortly there after. We also have 2 cats Holly and Nabby (David calls them Haha and Nana). In late January of 2011 we packed up and moved 1800 miles from Sacramento, California to the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas. Keep in mind we did this with me 6 months pregnant!
Shortly after arriving here in Texas we experienced our first bits of living in SNOW…. Kevin had to keep reminding me that it was slippery because well I’m a klutz and kept falling on my butt in it LOL.
We welcomed David Harlan into the world on May 5th, 2011 at 12:24pm. He weighed 7 pounds 7.5 ounces and was 19 inches long with beautiful red hair just like mommy and daddy!
David is a very spirited and rambunctious 2 year old who loves to be on the move at all times, and lets be honest he hasn’t stopped since he learned to crawl at 4 1/2 months and walk at 7 months! Oh yeah and climbing by 9 months…
Couponing and Blogging and Everything else
I began to coupon shortly after David was born, Kevin had been laid off from his job of 14 years just after we found out we were pregnant and well lets face it diapers aren’t cheap! With couponing came the blog I enjoyed sharing the deals and steals I found with friends and family along with updates on David. My blogging and couponing continue over 2 years later.
The blog has grown and become a hobby in itself and now I enjoy writing about so much including recipes that I test out, along with my many DIY projects.
Kevin enjoys brewing his own beer which also saves us money there and hopefully I will have more on that topic to share with you soon!
Earlier this summer my sister Emma came to live with us here in Texas and is learning the art of couponing. She quickly learned that David was as active as he was always described to be!
