Weight Gone Update Round 1

I hit  8 pounds gone this past week!!!! So in my first round I did not take any measurements but I lost 8 pounds in 21 days!!!  I have another 16 to my first goal and a little under 3 months to do that!

I am still not getting a ton of exercise in because of my back.  I did have an MRI this week of my neck and I am seeing a new doctor about that and the rest of this pain tomorrow morning.  Hopefully I can get some more answers soon!  I will be trying to do more yoga after I see the new doc and get the ok and hopefully that will help this weight gone hit the next level, I am also hoping to hit the 10 pound mark by this weekend!

Post Workout Fruit Salad

Note mine (David’s Mommy) has no blueberries in it because I am allergic to them I used mango in pace of them.

Post Workout Fruit Salad 

1 large Fuji apple
2 cups cucumber  (peeled) 
1 cup strawberries
1 cup blueberries 
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sugar substitute

Mix juice, sugar, and vinegar in a bowl, set aside
Cut all fruit and place in bowl. 
Pour liquid mix over fruit and stir
Cover and place in refrigerator for a few hours, best if left over night.

Remember all orange juices aren’t the same. Trop50 is a good low cal low sugar choice

  • Gala, Granny Smith, Red or Golden Delicious Apples 3/$0.99
  • Strawberries $1.27 per 1lb package

Weekly Diet Update

Ok So today is the start of week 2 for me, so far I have lost 3 pounds!  I have not had soda in 10 days now!  I started counting carbs today like I did when I was pregnant with David.  my reasoning for this was loosing 15 pounds while pregnant and only gaining 15 from where I started my pregnancy!

So this morning I had a Sweet Potato Hash for breakfast, along with my coffee! I will share this recipe later today and plan to make  Citrus Grilled Chicken with Brown Rice and a Cucumber and Orange Salad!

I am off to have a snack and do some yoga!

A Little Update Post IUD

So the IUD has been out for a few days now and I am in general feeling better!   I have had much more energy today despite the fact that I worked all night after getting up at 8 am yesterday. The cramping has resolved as I kind of figured it would.  Now I begin to really start watching what I eat and add in some exercise.  I will be making smaller changes to start and going from there.

Tomorrow morning I will weigh in and check my A1C level,   I had gestational diabetes with David so I am going to be working hard the next few months on my physical well-being as well as my spiritual well-being!

I want each and every one of you to know how much the support means to me,  it wasn’t easy to open up and share about this but I felt like I needed to share the word if only to help one person.
